Client Reference Hi,

I met Bhupendra as I was coming back from ABC Sanctuary. At that time he guided Edith. Bhupendra is not an ordinary guide. He is a young and very enthusiastic student (economy) with large knowledge of the country, its history and political situation.

It´s for this reason that you get slightly more ´intellectual´ background from him than from other guides. This gives great discussion issues during the long and dark evenings around a beer or - preferably - a glass of hot home made Raksi.

He will tell you all about Nepal and the neighbour countries as you walk through the sceneries. On my 2nd trip, Annapurna circuit, I hired him instead of the one I was walking with to ABC.

He was a little more expensive than the first guide/porter, and he carried not as much. But then again, you only need day and evening clothes to live on the rhythm of the land. We split our stuff and he carried the large rucksack, and I did the smaller one.

The higher sum to pay was worth it because of his knowledge and his ability to get you into families, kitchens, a warm place,...

At last, I very much appreciated his open-ness on ´how to deal with a westerner-tourist´, and I can say he learned as much from me as the other way around.

His young age (23 now) makes him very enthusiast and he will make a good guide with more and more guiding-experience as he wanders on the treks.

All the best.
